But if they are supposed to be used outside, the most important thing is to have one that shields the flame from the wind as much as possible. The flames of a bio fireplace are very sensitive to wind. Therefore, they work best when they are protected.
The advantage of a bio fireplace is that it can be used indoors without having to bother with a chimney or exhaust. None of the other fireplace variations can do that. The outdoor gas fireplaces have a relatively low gas consumption and are, therefore, cheap to use. They also offer the option of turning up and down the gas supply.
